Letter From President/CEO

Project Model Offender Reintegration Experience, Inc. has been providing services to ex-offenders in the Greater New Haven area for over 37 years. Through the dedication of our Board of Directors and staff, we have been successful in impacting our community in the reduction of recidivism and the increase of support for clients and their families. Our 37 year history has taught us many valuable lessons which have maintained the momentum of the agency.  It was this momentum that bolstered the agency to become its own federally recognized 501©3 in 1976, which is the same energy that drives us to provide exceptional service today. With the rich history that Project M.O.R.E. brings in service and experience, we have been tasked with uplifting a complex population with limited resources and at times, limited support. As a multi-service agency we meet the needs of our clients directly through our Alternative to the Community Program (AIC) day service, our Residential Programs which involves Transitional Housing for separate male and female occupancy, Supportive/Independent Living Housing and our Community Service Labor Program. However, we believe that through our persistent, diligent efforts, we have brought a wealth of experience and knowledge in service delivery to thousands of clients served as well as being prepared to serve thousands more.

Today, I believe that in order to take our organization to the next level, we will need to expand our knowledge of current marketing practices relevant to today’s age of technology. As our census grows, I see Project M.O.R.E., Inc. as being on track to meet the additional needs of our clients in spite of the looming economy and potential policy shifts in the criminal justice system. It is my hope that you will collaborate in supporting Project MORE, Inc. as we continue to help reintegrate ex-offenders into our community in a safe, structured and positive manner.
